Music from Bolivia to the Balkans!
A Philadelphia-based international folk dance band, the IFS are available for international folk dances, school multicultural fairs, folk festivals, church/synagogue events, "First Friday" events, senior center entertainment, and can provide, in addition to music, a teacher to walk participants through easy dances, a great way to help build community. We play for private events as well--weddings, birthday parties, and other celebrations where dancing and music are the order of the day.
The IFS also hold a once-a-month International Jam, open to the public, in Wayne, PA to help musicians new to the International dance repertoire to become involved. In addition, the IFS also provide music and leadership for periodic open orchestra evenings at Beaver Folkdancing at Or Hadash, also open to the public, and music is provided.
